SEVEN DAYS, SIX EVENTS AND FIVE SELL OUTS
AT INFINITE ENERGY ARENA

Duluth, GA (July 27, 2017) – In recent weeks, Infinite Energy Arena experienced the busiest and most successful week in the history of the venue.  From Tuesday, July 11 through Monday, July 17, the venue hosted six events with five of them being sold out major US touring concerts.

“It takes a lot of labor hours and the dedication of our amazing staff to accomplish what we did,” says Joey Dennis, general manager of Gas South District.  “The energy from the artists and the excitement of the guests are what truly kept us going throughout the week.  We are all honored to be a part of such an impressive moment for our community.”

The busy week started with a sold-out James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt concert, followed by Gwinnett County Public School’s summer high school graduation. The following day guests enjoyed a three-hour performance by the iconic Paul McCartney.  As soon as his tour trucks and buses exited the parking lot, the Total Package Tour- which included New Kids on the Block, Boyz II Men and Paula Abdul- arrived to set up for their show. After a brief day of down time, Roger Waters brought his US + Them tour to a packed house.  The busy week ended with the fifth sold out show of the week with Grammy-winning hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar featuring Travis Scott and D.R.A.M.

Infinite Energy Arena welcomed over 51,000 guests who consumed more than 22,880 16 oz. cups of beer throughout the week. The changeovers entailed 520 total man hours across 8 days. Venue operations averaged 6 hours for each quick turn. To view a time-lapse video of the process, please visit https://www.gassouthdistrict.com/get-connected/time-lapse-2017.
