Duluth, GA., 11/06/14 — Gwinnett Center announced today that they will host the third annual International Film Festival, July 31 – August 2, 2015. This festival celebrates the efforts of local, independent filmmakers, while providing awareness of filmmakers from across the country and internationally. This festival is open to filmmakers of any age.
For the third annual international film festival, a new category of animation has been added to include awards for Best Animated Short Film and Best Direction of an Animated Short Film. Additionally, there will be more dedicated networking events, workshops and panel discussions throughout the festival.
Submissions for the Gwinnett Center International Film Festival will open Friday, November 7, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. Independent films must be submitted by the filmmaker through www.withoutabox.com or www.filmfreeway.com. The early-bird deadline is May 15, 2015, and the final deadline for film entries is July 4, 2015.
“We are excited to be hosting the third annual Gwinnett Center International Film Festival,” said Selina Branstetter, Performing Arts Center Manager, “and I am thrilled with the great response and support Gwinnett County has shown over the previous year as we continue to grow the success of the festival.”
Awards will be presented to the most innovative and artistic filmmakers in a variety of categories. There will be a special honor for local, student-made films. All awards will be presented during closing ceremonies on Sunday, August 2, 2015.
One day or weekend passes go on-sale May 2015. Passes range from $8.00 - $15.00 for day passes and $30.00 for weekend passes.
